Leading the Charge Toward a Low-Carbon Future

September 17, 2025 - Makati, Philippines - ACMobility and Ayala Corporation welcomed executives and staff from the Asian Development Bank to Ayala’s main office, as part of ADB’s Resilience Learning Month for its staff, aimed at fostering knowledge and practical skills to accelerate the low-carbon transition. Ayala CFO Alberto de Larrazabal addressed the guests, saying “We see our collaboration with ADB as a strategic enabler of Ayala’s long-term goals—supporting our efforts to scale climate-resilient solutions and drive sustainable development across our portfolio.” Andrew Jeffries, ADB Country Director for the Philippines, for his part said, “For ADB, this is more than an investment rather a testament of our broader commitment to help the Philippines meet its NDC targets and build climate-smart and resilient infrastructure. ADB is proud to partner with institutions, like the Ayala Group, that share a similar vision in creating greener, more resilient, and more inclusive cities.”

The visit saw our executives share our vision and milestones in building renewable-powered infrastructure, advancing electric vehicle adoption, and redefining the overall mobility experience. Included in the program were demonstrations of our intuitive charging hubs and Power-on-Wheels, which charges EVs on the go. Carla Buencamino, our Head of Mobility Infrastructure, articulated our very ambition: “By making EV ownership accessible, investing in renewable-powered infrastructure, and, at the same time, supporting national goals and upholding responsible practices, we believe that we are pioneering a value chain that is meaningful not only for our stakeholders but also for future generations.”
