At our Project Sakura ceremony on October 2, graduates from our first cohort asked the incoming scholars whether they were ready to take on the challenge. One by one, they said yes.

It was a simple but meaningful exchange that captured the spirit of Project Sakura, our Female Technician Sponsorship Program, and the growing opportunities for women in automotive and electric mobility.

A year ago, our first cohort made that same commitment, with no previous graduates to look to for inspiration. Now, as they begin their careers as ACMobility technicians, they are setting an example for the women following in their footsteps.

Having completed their training and received full-time employment offers, all eligible Cohort 1 scholars began onboarding on October 5.

In his commencement message, our CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala reminded the graduates of the trust customers would place in their skills and encouraged them to bring malasakit to every vehicle they work on. He also urged the incoming scholars to build on the example set by their predecessors.

Through Prokect Sakura, we want more women to see the possibilities for themselves in automotive and electric mobility, inspired by those who have already taken that first step.

ACMobility, the country's leading provider of end-to-end solutions for electric mobility, has launched the first electric vehicle (EV) charging hub in Bohol, located at the new Kia dealership in Tagbilaran City.

The hub has two 7-kW AC chargers accessible to the public via Evro, ACMobility’s partner EV charging app. Putting the province on the EV map, the charging hub is seen to open the Bohol market to EV ownership and pave the way for the installation of more EV charging stations on the island.

Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap said the new EV Charging Hub will boost tourism in Bohol, designated as the Philippines' first UNESCO Global Geopark for its geological and cultural importance.

"This is a proud moment for Tagbilaran and for the whole island of Bohol. Having the first EV charging station here shows that Bohol is ready to move with the times while protecting what makes our island special," said Yap, adding that it aligns with the city's push to be "progressive, innovative, and environmentally responsible."

The mayor said the charging hub will also give both locals and visitors the confidence to drive EVs on the island, encouraging more travel and inviting more investors to come to Bohol.

ACMobility, the country’s leading provider of end-to-end electric mobility solutions, on Monday opened the first publicly accessible electric vehicle charging hub in the city of Manila, with two more lined up through its collaboration with the city government.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Manila Vice Mayor Angela Lei “Chi” Ilagan-Atienza led the inauguration of the ACMobility EV Charging Hub at the Kartilya ng Katipunan (Bonifacio Shrine) near the Manila City Hall on October 19, 2026, with Maria Bejoc, ACMobility’s Head of Business Development and Network Operations, and Yvonne Castro, ACMobility’s Head of Government Engagements.

The hub is equipped with two EV chargers: one 22-kW AC charger, which can recharge a vehicle to up to 80% capacity in at least three hours, and one 30kW DC charger, which can power up an EV to up to 80% in 30 minutes to an hour.

ACMobility is set to build two more EV Charging Hubs in Manila, located at city-run hospitals, the Bagong Ospital ng Maynila and the Sta. Ana Hospital.

 “We are honored to be the first charge point operator to open a publicly accessible charging hub in the country’s capital city. This development is significant as Manila serves as a role model for other cities and towns across the country. We hope the opening of this charging hub encourages other local government units to embrace electric mobility and start building mobility infrastructure,” said Bejoc.

Domagoso said the Manila EV charging hub shows how City Hall is looking to address future needs with tech-based solutions that private sector partners can provide.

“Here is the proof where the government is looking at the future, looking at future problems, and there will be. But in the absence of resources, or with limited resources, we work with the private sector,” the mayor said.

Earlier this year, ACMobility’s campaign “Drive Electric, Love Pinas” with BYD and the Department of Tourism proved that cross-country EV drives is now possible in the Philippines, with a continuous 3,500-km journey from Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte down to General Santos City across 102 cities and towns in 22 days.

The trip landed ACMobility two Guinness World Records: one for “Most cities visited in a continuous journey by a battery electric vehicle (BEV),” and another for “Most cities visited in a continuous journey by a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).”

ACMobility’s EV charging hubs, which offer both AC and DC fast chargers, are available for use by private EVs and public transport fleets across all brands. Its chargers are accessible via partner app Evro, which allows drivers to locate available chargers at any given time, monitor their charging sessions, and pay via GCash or credit card.
